I’m Tina and teaching German is my profession. But much more, it is my passion.

May I invite you to an exciting journey by learning a language of almost scary long words, funny sounds and unique expressions?

Rumor goes that German is difficult to learn.

Well, I can tell:
It’s doable. Definitely!
Sometimes it might feel like your brain gets some sore muscles from lifting and shifting the „der“, „die“, „das“. But, let me assure you, that actually feels as great as working out very hard.
Whether you’re just about to start learning German, want to brush up on your knowledge or looking for some more insight into language and culture, you’ve come to the right place.

But I also want to wow you about the diversity of German culture (especially the more recent movements), inspire you with outstanding Germans and introduce you to the many shades of Germany – from cities to villages, from sea to mountains, from east to west.

I strongly believe, that emotion is one of the most important factors when it comes to learning. No matter in which age or stage of life you’re approaching your study subject. You must feel save, seen, excited and relaxed to get into that eager and curious state of absorbing new skills with pleasure.

My top 3 super-powers

Even in the biggest room, completely filled with people – within seconds –
I can see you in your very own, unique personality.
I can listen to you for hours and not at all feeling an urge to leer on my phone.
I can drink hundreds of coffees until midnight and right after the last shot, still fall asleep like a baby.

I love people, books, urban life, long walks and deep talks.

I have tons of empathy, loads of patience, a reliable gut instinct, a big heart – and not to forget – much experience as well as knowledge in teaching German.

Talking about hard facts: I hold a master’s degree in German language and literature, philosophy and religious studies.

My biggest struggle

“Define your ideal target group …”

… ranks among the top 5 advices in business and marketing guides, I studied while working on this website. Although I really tried, I couldn’t figure out my ideal target group yet. I just neither can nor want think of you as a target.

So far, I taught German to university students, business people, illiterate immigrants, teenagers at high school, medical doctors, artists, computer nerds and managers. First in Hannover, Germany and for eight years now in Dubai.
Every single student has taught me so much in return and helped me to grow my expertise, ambition and intercultural knowledge. I confidently felt like the perfect fit with each one of them.

So, now it´s on you to find out whether I could be the ideal teacher for you to learn German with. I´d love to share my passion with you.
